It had been quite a while since I attended my local SoCal Fitted X Truefitcrew monthly meet due to other random commitments I had for the Saturday night when it is usually held, but being as it was supposed to occur on Valentines Day this month, it was pushed back to a day I could actually make it! Howdy all! It’s been a while since I’ve gone to a new, regular meet so I decided to join up with a few SoCal Fitted buddies and take a little drive down south to Laguna Hills for a weekly meet that’s held there. Continue reading →
It’s been a couple weeks since the event and I’ve been slacking a bit, so I figured I should get the rest of my shots from Norm Reeves up on the site before they get overshadowed by the next few week’s upcoming events. After meeting up with a few friends at the show and running into a few unexpected acquaintances, I got to work checking out the back-half of the show.
Today we resume where I left off before to finish up my shots from the Wekfest parking lot! We return to the sun-soaked pavement surrounding Long Beach’s Queen Mary to take a peek at the show outside the show.
There’s not too much I can add word-wise that I didn’t talk about in my first post, but part 2 will be covering the main part of the show hosted on the grassy section where the bulk of the cars were located. No doubt you’ve seen a few shots of this insanely cambered Q45 (Y33 Cima) on rarely seen 3-spoke Work Equips from Low ‘N Slow, it had a primo spot and had the craziest wheel setup at the show. It’s not surprising this look has caught on so quickly; it’s dangerous, difficult to properly achieve, and it came from Japan!
I try my best to stay on top of the sudden explosion of random parking lot meets in my area, which means constantly scraping through social media to find decent meetups that draw in more well-built and thought out cars. Continue reading →
My attempt to attend last year’s Eibach Honda Meet was met with miserable failure. I made the long haul all the way out to Storm Stadium near Lake Elsinore with all my gear charged up and ready, tons of water and snacks in my pack, aaaand I forgot my wallet. Needless to say I was fairly frustrated with myself as it meant I could not get into the show since I did not know anyone else attending that year. I ended up having a great time shooting the HUGE dirt parking lot and cars as they were leaving, but I was resolved to make it into the show next time and to be fully prepared. Continue reading →
Even before I got into the meet itself this cool low-ass EK caught my eye, it’s a perfect example of something you’d see rolling around southern California, but not something you’d really see at a full-on show. Continue reading →
