Just in time to take advantage of the season, ‘ITSJDMYO’ hosted a toy drive alongside a car meet to help out those in need as well as displaying a decent amount of cool cars, mostly built by local shops but with a few nearby personalities finding their way by to check out the scene. Back in November I hit up one of the local regular ‘Big Bang Meets’ and was pleasantly surprised by what I found there! I met a few friends and made a couple new ones and, as always, found some crazy awesomeness that defines what I love about the Southern California car meet smorgasbord… Enjoy!
Continuing with getting some older coverage up we go back in time to October ’14 to when 88 Rotors hosted a surprisingly well-attended meet at their warehouse in El Monte. It was my first trip out to a meet in my newly acquired ’86 Toyota pickup and I was pretty excited to run into my friend Jordan who has been showing his ’85 ‘yota recently and is constantly tweaking and changing things, always a cool ride to run into… Not to mention he’s rocking a Hobbaswaggle sticker!

I only spent an hour or so at The Chronicles: Year Six, but damn if it isn’t consistently my favorite meet of every year. Of everything I saw this Corolla was probably my favorite and I could (should) have spent my entire time at the meet with it. Continue reading

Well, I finally made my big move to Costa Mesa recently and I decided to celebrate by attending the always amazing weekly Cars & Coffee event held in Irvine, CA since I couldn’t make the drive up to San Jose this weekend to join everyone at Wekfest. As usual, there was plenty to feast my hungry camera’s lens on!
